Tiny home, Tiny Yurt.

Our building adventure.

Well, it’s been a labor of love. Teamwork, asking for help, brainstorming, strategizing, inventing and creating.

The outer shell finished

Designing with the help of a dear friend with a mission! Learning how to recycle, refurbish and reuse vintage items! Collecting and piecing together designs.

Our humble abode: just over 200 sq feet.

In the moment of creation, I take a step back and reflect. The energy, effort and hard work to get us here. The momentum of finishing our home remodel to sell and find our dream land. Nestled between the old oak trees filled with the stories and energy of the past.

The land we have is healing. It has been powerful to build, design and progress with our next steps to make it our home.

Refurbished items, slightly broken but able to be adapted or fixed. Finding this vintage rattan egg chair was my favorite bargain at $10.

Design items
Vintage table from Berkley, CA

Piecing items together at antique stores, finding other items at goodwill and thrift shops. Slowly gathering items, staying within our tight budget.

The design of the Pacific Yurts
My hard working husband fitting pieces of the yurt kit
Final touches with my grandmother’s Pendleton blanket.

In awe of how little we need. Grateful for the release of items and the energy it’s brought. Moving into the minimal lifestyle that I’ve been researching for a few years now. It feels right. To live free and frugally, under the trees.

This is our Frugal and Free Path. So glad you are here.
