Intention and Mindfulness in Nature

When we intentionally reflect, we grow. When we intentionally choose our values and strive to live by them, we grow. When we release items that hold energy that no longer serves us, we grow. When we initiate clarity of space and mind, we grow. When we forgive, even without receiving an apology, we grow.

This winter season is a time for settling in and turning internal focus to what my heart sings for. Dance, rhythm, connection and embodiment.

During the healing process of trauma, internal awareness in so powerful. Finding moments of solitude and silence to reflect. Stepping away from the hustle and bustle of life’s needs to tap internally. Grounding myself. Focusing on the earth beneath my feet and listening to my heart rate. The power of grounding techniques continues to provide as a very supportive tool for growth and release.

I sit in deep gratitude for the experiences I’ve have with healing this year. After a year filled with crisis after crisis, my nervous system is resetting and making new connections. New synapses growing stronger and stronger each day. Less reactive. Less sensitive to sudden or loud noises. Less racing heart and fast breaths with any shift or triggering thought.

Spending time sitting out under the trees and now watching the snow fall onto those trees continues to be a wonderful tool in my toolbox. I get mesmerized. The squirrels running up and down the giant oak trees. The wise old ancient ones standing tall and resilient through any ice or snow storm the winter may bring. Spending time sitting to watch and listen. Mindfulness in nature.

Mindfulness in Nature: A very powerful tool

Moving into this beautiful season of transformation, intention setting and continued growth. Finding moments of reprieve to journal gratitude thoughts. Staying strong with this habit. This helps continue optimism and make my dreams come true. It helps me give smiles to many. As I smile from within when I use gratitude.

So as we come to the end of a very stressful season, and a very hectic year filled with so many changes in my own personal life. I sit in deep gratitude. I feel empowered and am committed to continue to discover tools. I step forward without hesitation, with my deep grounded roots stabilizing my every action step. I share my gifts and leap into future endeavors with ease.

I am grateful for opportunities to grow spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially. I am so grateful for deep connections with new souls in my life that inspire me to dance, sing and show my bright colors to the world. I am grateful for new experiences, standing strong with my values and setting boundaries to continue my healing journey.

In deep gratitude,

Bethany Michelle
